What: "Hard Hat" Tour of 1871.

(This tour will be largely the same as the previous two tours, so if you took a prior tour and were thinking about signing up again, you may want to skip this one.)

When: Saturday, February 11, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Where: Meet on the 12th floor of the Merchandise Mart at the western end of the corridor. Note that there is only one corridor on the 12th floor, so you can't miss it. The Orleans Street elevators will be operational Saturday and they will take you right up to the 1871 entrance.

• By registering for the tour, you understand that:
• You will be entering an active construction site with multiple safety hazards.
• You will be entering the site at your own risk.
• Certain attire is required, as stated below.
• You assume all liability for your actions while on-site.
• Skender Construction, 1871, and the Merchandise Mart cannot be held responsible for any injuries that may occur while on-site.
• Required attire:
• No open toed or soft soled shoes (sandals, flats, etc…)
• No high heels.
• No loose fitted clothing (scarves, hooded sweatshirts, baggy pants, etc…)
• Hard hats (provided by Skender) must be worn at all times.
• Things to watch for:
• Changes in elevation while walking due to unfinished floors (watch your step at all times).
• Sharp Edges (unfinished surfaces/walls…be careful to not run hands along any surfaces).
• Stick with walking group…do not wander as some areas may not be safe for pedestrians.
